Elizabeth is an elderly widow. She struggles with depression (due to the death of her daughter) and is unable to do much physical activity. She spends most of the day sitting on the bench outside her shelter. Her oldest granddaughter cares for her but the family depends on others in the community for help. The CBM team visits this family often to remind them of God’s love, pray and to encourage them. The family has shared that the new home has given them hope and joy. Their church congregation and neighbors even gifted the family by starting a new garden outside of the home. What a beautiful display of God’s love at work!
Update: Elizabeth went to be with the Lord, December 2021. The woman who had been her long-time caretaker will be moving into the home with her 4 children, to now care for Elizabeth’s grandchildren who were already living there. Praise God for that! Please join us in praying for the families involved, that the Lord will continue to be glorified in the home and peace for the Wamaitha children through this transition.
