It is always nice to get back to Africa, especially when God in his grace reveals how all the seeds that have been planted in Kenya are producing much fruit (John 15:5)! Our short 5 days were filled with fellowship, times of prayer, discipleship, home visits, home dedications, a church dedication, a Maasai celebration and we even hosted a baptism! The team met and prayed with many families who shared their stories of assaults due to the lack of security with mud shelters, living with HIV, and the general challenges an area like this poses for those living in extreme poverty. That being said, this community has a joy and hope that shines brightly. We may never see the full impact or depth of our ministry this side of eternity, but we will continue forward in faith. Like the principle of William Carey, “Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.” As we continue attempting great things for God – to him be the glory!
