Amanda Gil and her children received the very first Paradigm Foundation home in the Dominican Republic. They lived in a shelter built of scrap metal and wood with no bathroom or running water. Amanda shared how her kids had been bullied for being “poor” and though they lacked materially, she had been saving for a fridge, a dream of one of the children. When Pastor Jose told her she would be receiving a new home, she was surprised to see the foundation being dug by the first PF build team, she thought the shelter was being repaired! What a beautiful picture of the Lord providing more than we can ask or imagine.
After moving into her home and seeing a tangible example of God in her life, she accepted his greatest gift, his Son, Jesus. She soon started her own business selling homemade goods and often gives some proceeds to help others in need.
