De Los Santos Family (DR – September 2022)

Nieves (translates to “snow” in English) is a widow and lives with her five children and toddler granddaughter who has special needs. The mother of the baby passed away during childbirth about a year ago, she was only 16. It is a stark reminder of the importance of healthcare and pre-natal education. The church nominated this family because the shelter was one of the worst they had ever seen in the community. It is mostly made up of recycled materials and was extremely unsafe. Join us in praying for this family, that the new home eases some of Nieves burden, and that this build opens new doors to serve this specific part of the community.
