Meet Nancy, our first Kenyan home recipient. She is in her 70’s and lives in a small 3 room mud hut with 12 orphans (ten are grandchildren whose parents have passed away, and 2 others she found living on the street). The area they live in is an area that regularly experiences drought so securing water is a daily challenge. Mama Jane sometimes has to walk up to 6 hours one way just to find some with the reality that she often returns empty-handed. There often isn’t anything to eat. Mama shared with us on the trip that while she has “never seen God with her eyes, she now sees Him with her heart.” She shared how she is sleeping better and experiencing great peace. Thanks to the generosity of ministry partner Camp Brethren, the children are now in school and have regular meals. The Lord is already doing a mighty work in the lives of this precious family and we can’t wait to see not only the finished home but how He will continue to transform the hearts and futures of these kids. Praise be!!!
